How does one share A single Memory from life time of nothing but warm and perhaps even more often humorous memories?
I couldn’t ask for, nor imagined a better sister and friend. Unbeknownst to one another, at the time of the tragic death of our older sister Iris at 17, we both made a conscious decision to get along with our one remaining sister. It was decades before we discovered that we had both made such a decision. But, given the kind of person Faye was it was an easy promise to keep.
Faye was more than a sister to me! Having lost our dear mother at only 59, Faye became a mentor to me in all things domestic and of motherhood!
She was the most industrious person I’ve known and I’m convinced she could have made a silk purse from a sow’s ear had she put her mind to it!
In a word, she was my idol!
