Obituary of Reginald Earl Fisher

Reginald “Reg” Earl Fisher, age 83 of Halifax, died April 22, 2024, in Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Earl and Amelia (Sharp) Fisher.

Reg was a well-known musician with Kenny Weeks and The Meteors/Compromise, where the band received a Life-Time Achievement Award for 50 years of entertaining. The band was well-known for playing 50s/60s music. Reg was with Metro Transit Halifax until his retirement. He was a voluteer member of the Wellington Fire Department. He also had Reg Fisher Music Studio on Portland St., Dartmouth; where he taught music for many years.

Reg is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Dalrymple); sons Wayne; Sherry (Denomme) Bridgewater; Darrell; Kim Cormier Upper Nine Mile River; Terry; Kathy (Perry) Lake Paul; Bradley, Ontario; daughters, Gail (Terry Steeves) Sackville; Stephanie (Bruce Robar) Bridgewater; sisters, Joyce, Louisdale; Noreen, Bridgewater. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Ricky (Tina), Kristy (Mitch Macaulay) , Trenton, Serenity, Nevaeh, Fox, Bodhi, Dee (Demi MacIntosh), Lily, Jax, Robin (Ashley Marie Bent), Everleigh, Oliver, Holli, Trever, Liberty, Jordan, Scarlett, Travis, and Merik.

Reg was predecesed by sisters, Elsie, Rhoda; brothers, Tom, Clyde, Howard, Gilbert, and Ed; and grandson, Christopher.

We would like to thank the staff of St. Vincent’s Nursing Home for their kind care and a a special thank you to Funeral Director, Lester Atkinson.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a public graveside service in Camphill Cemetery, Halifax on Friday May 3,2024 at 1:00 pm with  Rev.James Haughn officiating. A public  reception (Celebration of Life)  to follow at the Wellington Volunteer Fire Department, Fletchers Lake.
