What an absolutely wonderful obituary. There is not a time in my life when I actually remember my cousin Jim without Isabelle! A couple more suited to one another really would be almost impossible to find.
Terrific parents, grandparents and great grandparents. The love between them and their family was so evident.
They always loved the fun they had jibing each other and laughing so hard.
Yes, "camp" played a huge part in their lives and the vegetable garden they planted, benefitted so many.
One note re: Isabelle: A very calm and sweet person, hardly ever raised her voice - at least that I heard. One day after young David came home from school he went to his room upstairs. Whack!! Yelling -OWWWW! This continued for a bit and then dear Isabelle went to the bottom of the stairs and yelled - what is going on up there. Repeated whacks and yelling. Up the stairs. There was David, alone, with a belt, hitting the bed and yelling. Poor Isabelle thought her other son Bob was the centre of the "fight". Dear Isabelle was sorely embarrassed - I do not think she should have been, but everyone laughed after calming down. I forget just wat Dave's explanation was, but it made sense at the time!
Wonderful wife, mother and friend. we must cherish our memories.
