Obituary of Fayne Ross Leopold

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Fayne Ross Leopold, 78 of New Ross, on February 2, 2024. Born in New Ross, Fayne was the son of  the late Reginald and Leta (Veinotte) Leopold.

Fayne was a hard working man who loved to live his life his way. He was very friendly and would talk to anyone he met, everywhere he went. As well he would phone his neighbours to check in on them. As a younger man, Fayne loved black lab dogs and over the years had owned at least six. It was not unheard of to see Fayne spending time by his pond with his black lab companion, enjoying the peace and quiet. He would often work on the walk ways, benches and trails leading to his pond, making it even more beautful than it was. Fayne was also a fan of old country music and would listen to it whenever he could.

Fayne worked for many years with the Department of Highways and on various Christmas tree farms.  He was a proud member of the New Ross Baptist Church and faithfully attended services every Sunday.

Fayne is survived by his brother, Randy Leopold of New Ross; and sister, Holly (Phillip) Meister of Ontario.

In addition to his parents, Fayne was predecesed by his brothers, Granville Leopold and Hardy Leopold.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at  2:00 pm in the New Ross Baptist Church, 61 Forties Rd., New Ross. Family Flowers only.
