Sherry, I am so sorry to learn (late) that Martin's courageous battle came to an end. I remember how he loved you from the very start and may the memory of that pure love carry you and comfort you now and always.
Love you. Wish I'd been with you, standing along side to support you these last few weeks.
Rest in peace Martin.
Love Nancy

Sorry for your loss.
When my brothers, Robert and David and I set out to race vintage bikes together in 1995, we had the chance to share some good adventures with Martin. Some of them are now family classics. He was such a great guy with us.
When we decided to race only British bikes in 1996, Martin was certainly our number one cheerleader at British Cycle Supply. He gave us such great support from BCS that year and I have always appreciated that he stuck his neck out for "The Dudes". Those were also the years of the very successful Vintage TT, which are some of the best racing memories I have. I know there are many people who volunteered to make the TT a great event back then, but for sure Martin was putting in so much of his time to organize, selflessly, so we could all enjoy ourselves. Like so many of my racing friends, I will always think of Martin when I think of the Vintage TT.

My deepest sympathies to Martin's family from our family. My son's Brandon and Devin have fond memories of watching his bike races and he was always fun to be around. One of Devin's favorite t-shirts was one he had given him that had British Cycle on it, he wore it out!
I'm glad he's at peace now.

A very sad day for me learning of Martins passing . we down here in New Hampshire thought the world of Martin . a very kind warm compassionate Man he was . So sorry to learn of Martin's passing. I have fond memories of the days when he was organizing events at AMP. He jumped in at a time when all those organizers before him were burnt out, and it was looking grim. Typical of Martin, he stepped up and did the job in difficult circumstances, but few knew the effort he put in. He was always motivated and did what had to be done. I also knew him as the guy on the phone at BCS when I needed some obscure part or other for one of my Triumphs, and if they didn't have what I needed, he knew where to get it. He eventually took a leave of absence from BCS and came to run our service Department at Pro Cycle, but the lure of his beloved Valley drew him back, to the loud cheers of all his British bike customers and enthusiasts. Martin was a good guy with a heart of gold.. We will miss you Martin!

I'm in shock, Martin was one of the most considerate, hard working people I've known, always there for you and so full of energy with ideas and to help. He was the glue that kept us all together, was honoured to work with him and call him my friend. Will miss him very much and even when he couldn't talk anymore he never gave up and we could communicate for hours. I will always remember our last time together. RIP My Friend.

He was a great guy and one of a kind
He was instrumental in bringing vintage racing to Atlantic Canada and provided great entertainment on and off the track
We had great trips together to Laconia and Mosport and he worked many long hours to promote racing where ever he was
He also gave myself and others bikes to race and he never stopped giving and helping
He will be remembered and missed

Passing along sincere condolences to Sherry, Doris & Kathleen. Having been a bandmate of Martin's for several years, I am finding it hard to believe he has passed so soon. Martin was not just a fellow band mate, but also a dear friend. I fondly recall many hours spent discussing band decisions or just sharing stories....most of which even had a degree of truth. Heaven has just received another great musician! You will certainly be missed my friend!

My deepest condolences to Sherry, to his mother and to his extended family. When I decided to race vintage motorcycles, Martin was more help than you can imagine. I then went into racing vintage sidecars and Martin was my first "monkey". In one of our first races, at Mosport in Ontario, the bike started to misfire. Martin saw that the right float bowl was coming loose and he held it in place and signalled me to continue the race rather than stop while he held the bowl and moved about to keep the sidecar level.
His efforts in organizing the Atlantic Vintage TT took him away from direct racing. His efforts in developing this finest of events led to much development of the facilities at Atlantic Motorsport Park. A fine man not well enough recognized for his efforts. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Martin's family and friends. I am so sorry to hear of this news today. I have very fond memories of the TT racetrack and meeting his lovely wife Sherry. He had passion and was a good friend to many and will be missed. I often thought of him during the summer months, thinking how hard he worked at getting so many to enjoy his passion at Shubie, and how sad it was that nobody ever was able to fill his shoes when he was not able. He was a good man. May he rest in peace and the memories give comfort to everyone he knew. So very sorry Sherry... I have tears.

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to love of Martin's life, Sherry and to all of his family. I have certainly missed seeing my dear friend at work and was looking forward to the day he would return, I can speak for all of us at BCS, it will never be the same without Martin there. Martin was a brilliant man in so many ways (he could wire a bike over the phone like no other), a wonderful friend-true to the end, told the best stories (many of them about the kitties), had the best off the cuff sarcastic remarks that left us in stitches, he sugar coated nothing (wear your leather Duska, getting rocks washed out of your raw flesh is no fun), although he wasn't warm & fuzzy, you always knew he cared. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace my dear friend.
