Obituary of Mark Gordon McIsaac

Please share a memory of Mark to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mark Gordon McIsaac, 57 of Harbourville passed away peacefully in his home in the loving arms of his wife, surrounded by family and friends, after a second but brief encounter with cancer. Born December 15, 1959, he was the son of the late Frank McIsaac and the late Faye (Smith) Clarke. He was a very kind and gentle soul, who had a wonderful gift as an artist. Mark has left a legacy in his beautiful artwork and his involvement in the community. He was loved by all who knew him and made a big difference to every life he touched. Mark is survived by his wife Mary; son Ayden; sisters Lorenda "Lori" (Dan) Dorey; Connie (Dave) Clace; stepfather Denis Clarke. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, by many cousins, and his special little buddies Finn and Harrison, and great nephews Mac and Jethro. Deepest appreciation to the Palliative Care Team and the VON who made his last days at home possible and pain free. And to Lois Hare for her steadfast and compassionate support for the whole time. Also, to many friends and family who made this journey more bearable. We would also like to thank Serenity Funeral Home for their kind and respectful services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). There will be no funeral as per Mark's wishes, but a memorial service will be held in the summer on his son's beloved woodlot for family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society – Nova Scotia Division , The Harbourville Restoration Society, PO Box 854, Harbourville, NS B0P 1E0 or a charity of your choice.
