Obituary of Kathleen Leona Collins

Collins, Kathleen Leona (Kaye) – age 77 years of New Ross, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2014. Born in New Ross on October 18, 1936; she was the daughter of the late Emerson Leopold and Sadie (Schofield) (Hirtle). She is survived by her son Duncan Leopold (Shirley Hawley) of New Ross ; sisters Joyce (Sheldon) Rafuse of New Ross, Phyllis MacDonald of Windsor, Erma (Willard) Wile of Windsor, Jeanie (Foster) Jollymore of New Ross; brothers Robert and William (Vivian) Leopold of Windsor; sister in law Marjorie Leopold of New Minas; also by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Floyd Collins; son Timothy in infancy; brothers Freddie and Max; sister Maxine; brother in law Roland MacDonald; sister in law Shirley Leopold. Kaye was a lover of nature, especially the birds and flowers. She was very artistic and enjoyed cooking and playing the guitar and singing with her sisters. Visitation to take place on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, New Ross Chapel. Memorial service will follow on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11am from the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross with Rev. Judi Phillips officiating.
