Obituary of Nina Daisy Jefferson
Nina Jefferson (MacPhee) 74 of Greenwood, formally of 9 Mile River, passed away on December 24, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born on July 21, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Willis L. MacPhee and Annie W. Paley-Harding.
Nina loved being with her family, especially her twin sister, Neta who she had a very special bond with. Nina kept the lord in her heart and people in her prayers. She enjoyed spending time outdoors with other tenants in her seniors home, at the picnic table, taking much pleasure in a good cup of tea, she always had a pot on the stove. Nina also loved to spend time in the garden and a good crossword puzzle.
“After my father passed, mom had to be taught how to program TVs etc., once she moved into her senior’s apartment, I would find her helping others with theirs.”
Nina is survived by her daughter, Carrie-Ann (Chris Brackett) Jefferson; son, Lloyd Jefferson Jr.; grand-daughters, Breanna (Jacob Shearer), and Grace Tree; grand-sons, Dommick and Jacob Jefferson; sisters, Cleta Boylan, Teen (Donald) Halliday, and Neta (Barry) Gavel; brother-in-law, Everett (Pat) Jefferson; sister-in-law, Shirley Foster as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nina was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Jefferson; sister, Reta Noble; and brothers, Samuel, Clyde, Robert and Robie MacPhee.
Nina’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Cambridge United Baptist Church, 5981 Highway 1. An interment will be held in the spring in the Hillgrove Cemetery, Digby County Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Cambridge United Baptist Church.
