Obituary of Malcolm Colin McKenzie

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Malcolm C. McKenzie, 82 of New Minas on October 30, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Essex, England on December 2, 1941, He was the son of the late Kenneth and Doris Mckenzie.

Malcolm selflessly served in the Air Force before retiring after 23 years. After retirement Malcolm and his wife owned and operated a craft business that ran successfully for 14 years.

“He is going to be missed, Rest in Peace my love.”

Malcolm enjoyed socializing with friends over a hot cup of coffee at McDonalds, at home Malcolm adored playing cards and his favorite dice game, Left Right and Centre, with our friends, John and Helen Murphy and Phil Gould and family. “Family in Ontario and Saskatchewan will sorrily miss Mac very much.”

Malcolm is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Meribeth; daughters, Shelley (Phil Gould) McKenzie of New Minas and Angela (Scott Naugler) Smith McKenzie of Wilmot; as well as grandchildren, Lindsay, Melanie, Ginny and Ryan.

In addition to his parents, Malcolm was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Quecke and baby Glen.

The family of Malcolm would like to extend a thank you to the Paramedics, New Minas RCMP and hospital staff.
