Obituary of Barbara Anne Buchanan
Barbara Buchanan, 63 of Middleton passed away peacefully in the Valley Hospice on October 19, 2024, with family by her side. Born on February 25, 1961, Barb was the daughter of the late Arthur and Beulah Buchanan.
Barb was known for her kind heart and ever-loving spirit, she would do absolutely anything for anyone, if you needed something sold, and Barb wanted it she would gladly take it off your hands, the cost didn’t matter to her, she was a collector, there wasn’t anything she didn’t have. Barb was an active member of the Middleton Legion Branch #1 and enjoyed spending time there with her partner, Rick as well as her friend’s playing darts on Friday nights. Barb took pleasure in playing bingo and heading out to karaoke night, she truly made the most of her time and did things that gave her a sense of joy, she never took anything for granted and knew just how lucky she was to be surrounded by those who loved her dearly.
During the summer, Barb could be found spending time with her family at the beautiful Fundy Trail Campground, by the bay making countless memories. Barb was proud of her family, especially her grandchildren, she only ever had good things to say about them. Barb adored spending evenings out for her famous coffee with her partner, Rick and her dog, Teddy who was her baby. Barb actively worked and loved her job at Ebb Tide Café, there wasn’t anything she couldn’t do, the café was like her second home, and she sometimes spent more time there than she would at home.
“A partner, mother, grandmother and beloved friend, Barb was so much to so many and will truly be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to meet her”
Barb is survived by her loving partner, Richard “Rick” Millbury; children, Kimberley Bezanson of Bridgetown and Arthur Bezanson of Alberta; brothers, Bill Buchanan, Doug Buchanan and Bruce Buchanan; sisters, Star Dukeshire and Ruby Thompson; 4 grand children; 2 great grandchildren; first husband, Lemuel Bezanson as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
