Obituary of Sandra Faye Lutz
Sandra Faye Lutz, born on June 22, 1947, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Sandra was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Sandra was a dedicated hairdresser at Riteway Hair Salon in Kentville for many years before continuing her work from home. She also sold Avon and managed the landlord duties for a small apartment building she owned. A woman of many talents, Sandra was passionate about singing, a love she shared with her parents throughout her life. She was immensely proud of her large doll collection and explored numerous artistic projects, from stained glass to drawing and sewing Halloween costumes for her children. Known for her infectious laughter and love for storytelling, Sandra had a unique gift for finding the bright side of any situation. She cherished the joy of teasing with her brother Randy and took great pride in celebrating her family’s many accomplishments. Sandra also had many special friends over the years who felt like family and whom she treasured immensely.
"Sandra’s greatest pride and joy in life was her family, especially her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished with all her heart."
Sandra is survived by her two sons, Kerry McWhinnie (Suzanne Higgins) and Troy Lutz (Kristine Windover); her grandchildren Cody McWhinnie (Taylor McKinnon), Unity Taylor, Kathleen Lutz, Jacob Windover, Noah Windover, and Alyssa Higgins; and her great-grandchildren Cas, Leon, and Claire. She is also survived by her siblings, Sonya MacLeod (John) and Randy Conrad; and many treasured nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sandra was predeceased by her beloved parents, Spurgeon and Kathleen (Kay) Conrad.
