Obituary of Roderick Leo Pettipas
Roderick Leo Pettipas Sr. 87 of Waldeck West, passed away on August 16, 2024, just 3 days before his 88 birthday. Born in Aldershot, Roderick was the son of the late Harry Schofield and Louise Hiscoe.
Roderick enjoyed doing many things during his lifetime, he enjoyed woodworking, yard work, hunting, fishing, playing darts and collecting scrap metal with his sons. In his younger years, Roderick was a school bus driver and worked with Trynor Construction as well as owned a garage.
Roderick is survived by daughters, Brenda “Dale” (Kenny) Mosher and family, Susan Pettipas, Cindy (Bradley) Wright and family; Son Mark (Sue Long) Pettipas and family; sister Janice (Brian) Trimperand family; brother Walter (Mary) Jewer and family; grandchildren Joseph (Jodi) Mosher, Jennifer (Derek) Veinot, Caleb (Lisa) Johnstone and family, Tamara (Jesse Long) Wright and family, Jonathan (Jamie) Long and family, Ashley (Eric) Steele and family and Devon Corkum; 11 great grandchildren, as well as nieces Donna (Bill) Walton and family and Karen Moore.
In addition to his parents, Roderick was predeceased by the love of his life, Brenda and son Rod Jr.
Cremation has already taken place under the care of the Digby County Funeral Chapel. No visitation or service will be held by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and The Canadian Cancer Society.
