Obituary of Beatrice Lena Bremner Frost
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die…”
It is with sadness but with an appreciation for a long life, that the family of Beatrice Bremner Frost of Digby, announce her passing, which occurred peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024 in the compassionate and tender care of the nurses and staff of Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born on February 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Edward John and Clara Pearl (Thibodeau) Amero. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Beatrice loved baking and cooking and her delicious donuts, homemade bread, Christmas cookies and sweet treats were second to none. Over the years, many loved ones have benefited from her yummy rapure pies, and no one ever left her home hungry. Beatrice loved quilting, with many of her family members lucky enough to receive one of her beautiful creations. She enjoyed tending to her flower beds, jigsaw puzzles and had a keen mind for word searches and more recently looked forward to a good game of bingo.
Beatrice is survived by her sons, Brian (Ruth), Randy (Wendy), Gary (Cindy) and Paul (Kathy). She was “Gram” to Crystal (Mike), Shawn (Kim), Karen (Dave), Heather, Kim, Sonya (Chris), Dennis and Wesley; and a great-grandmother to Dylan, Taylor, Carter, Aiden, Devonte, Rilee, Carter, Cole, Xander, Jaden, Roanan, Maverick, Adam and Ava. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jeannette Amero and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Charlie Bremner; second husband, Lou Frost; daughter, Jeannie O’Connor; a son in infancy; grandson, Travis Bremner; brother-in-law, Frank Bremner; sisters-in-law, Hilda Johns, Elsie O’Neil and Jean Harris; sisters, Helen Elliott and Ena Gaudet and brothers, Nelson in infancy, Joseph, James, Marvin, Clifford, Harry, Henry and Harold.
In keeping with Beatrice’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. However, relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service which will take place in Bayview United Church Cemetery, Lighthouse Road, Digby, on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby (902-245-2444).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by her family.
