Bob and I have many great memories of time spent with Ken and Betty. Most of the times spent with them were in Florida when we were all Snowbirds, However, we also spent time together in Nova Scotia at our respective homes in Digby and Elmsdale. There were numerous adventures too many to mention and our friendship will be forever cherished. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Sailed with Ken on the Hudson and the Sir William Alexander. I remember him liking curries and hockey. His abilities to complete his paperwork at the end of a trip were legendary. Always good for a laugh, he will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.

Bill and I met Ken in Florida. We have many happy memories of him and Betty. Fun card games and we shared crazy stories . He was a kind and sharing person and as others have mentioned their home was a fun place to visit and we always felt welcome. We send our condolences to the family and are very sorry for your loss.

To the entire Erskine Family,
So saddened to hear of Ken's passing. I sailed with Ken for many years in old DFO on Hudson and Baffin as well as CG vessels in later years. I was honoured to officiate a retirement ceremony for Ken on the CCGS Sir William Alexander in 2008. A great friend and shipmate.
Deepest condolences to the entire extended family.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Ken’s passing. Sincerest sympathies to Betty and Ken’s children. I only wish I had gotten down to visit him as he promised me a fantastic dinner. But I’m happy my brother Kenneth made it.
Much love to you all as you pay tribute to your father and husband on Saturday.

My family and I are very saddened to hear of the passing of "Grampie Ken." He was a very loved part of our family for a long time. We have very fond memories of him as being a wonderful Grampie, an outstanding chef and just an all-around great man. We also honor Ken's many, many years of service to his country - he truly had a servant's heart. Our sincere condolences to all who loved him. Colin, Sue, Kiera and Eric in Florida.

I am so sad to hear of Ken's passing. When I was a child he was married to my grandmother for some time, and he was always so lovely to me. I have fond memories of him and his wonderful cooking. He was so good to me. My condolences to his family.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Betty and to Ken's children, extended family, and loved ones. We always enjoyed time spent with Ken especially seeing that twinkle in his eye as he told a story. His love of music took him to singing in the choir at Trinity Anglican Church in Digby while Rev. Mel Malton was Rector there. Ken and Betty were always lots of fun, especially when volunteering at church suppers and other activities. Wishing Ken following seas and fair winds...
