Obituary of Kathy Ann O'Leary
Kathy Ann O’Leary, September 8, 1957 – April 10, 2024, of Dartmouth, age 66, passed away suddenly at home on April 10, 2024. She was a loving Mom to her two children, Savana and Adam Kay. She was born in Halifax, NS, and proudly grew up in Lakeview, NS.
Kathy was a graduate of Sackville High School and later studied Business Administration at Nova Scotia Community College. She enjoyed working in the accounting department at Cottman Transmission for twenty-plus years. Kathy played softball for the Sackville Ladies League, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling. Alaska and Ireland were two of her favorite trips. She enjoyed dancing and listening to Celtic and Canadian music. She was a member of the Canadian Reserves for many years. Kathy was proud of her Irish heritage and spending time with her family was always special.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Charles And Aileen O’Leary. She is survived by her two children, Savana and Adam (Holly); grandson, Rowan; and great-grandson, Drew; sisters, Sandra, Charleen, Debbie (Barry); brothers, Michael (Cindy), Charles (Gabrielle); and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place with a family burial to follow. A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will take place on May 18, 2024, from 3-6 p.m. in the LWF Community Hall, 843 Fall River Rd., Fall River, NS. Family and friends are invited to reminisce and share a story. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
