Obituary of Jean Idella Spinney
Jean Idella Spinney, Age 87 of White Rock passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2024, in Rest Easy Assisted Living Residence, Windsor. Born in Newtonville, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Ethel Millett. Jean will be greatly missed.
Jean was an avid card player and enjoyed playing darts, knitting, baking, and cooking. She loved to chat and would strike up a conversation with just about anyone.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and will be greatly missed.
Jean is survived by her son, Brian (Alma) Spinney of Newfoundland; daughter, Debbie (Jeff) England of Nova Scotia; grandsons, Nicholas Spinney of New Brunswick and Andrew (Amber) England of Nova Scotia; and granddaughters, Jacklyn (Ryan) Blades of Alberta, Ashlee England of Alberta, and Ariel (Nick) England of Alberta; as well as seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bernard, Louis, Donnie, all of Canning; Vance of Kentville; Paul of White Rock; Lloyd of New Ross; and sister, Brenda of Kentville.
In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Spinney; as well as her brothers, Dick and Victor.
The family would like to thank Carrie and the staff at the Rest Easy Assisted Living, for taking exceptional care of Mom during her stay, as well as Nurse Practioner, Dawn Lowe.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
