I am so sorry to learn of Joan's passing. She was a delightful lady with a wry sense of humour. She and Don became friends of my parents in the 1970's in St John's and stayed in touch when both couples moved to Nova Scotia later in life. Mum and Joan had regular lunch dates until Mum's passing in 2013. If politicians had listened to their wisdom, the world would be a gentler place today.

Chris I am very sorry to read about your mom's passing. I knew her as a beautiful person inside and out. As you are yourself. I am glad she lived a long life.
