Obituary of Edward Allan Reeves

Edward “Ted” Allan Reeves, age 92 of Kentville passed away on April 4, 2024 in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in England, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Reeves.

Ted was a proud North Yorkshire man, but nothing gave him more pride than his family. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren beyond measure. He enjoyed helping his wife, Joyce prepare for the craftfairs they attended together, as well as her baking. Ted spent many hours landscaping so there was a gorgeous garden and a “properly cut” lawn. He was always willing to help as well as  give great advice to anyone who needed it.

Ted will be remembered by his loving wife, Joyce (nee Ventress) Reeves; granddaughter, Eva (Phillip) Gagnon; son, Stuart (Karen) Reeves, Calgary, Alberta; daughters, Helene Reeves, Ontario; and Christine Dickson, Ontario; daughter-in-law, Robin Reeves, Ontario; grandsons, Justin Reeves, Calgary, Alberta; and Jason Reeves, Kentville; great-grandchildren, Thera, Meredith, Paige, Nikko, Kayen, and Abel; brother Malcolm (Dorothy) Reeves, Hull, England.

In addition to his parents, Ted was predeceased by his beloved son, Nigel Reeves; as well as other brothers and sisters.

Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Ted’s request there will be no service.  Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
