Obituary of Larry Mark Sabean

Larry Mark Sabean, age 74 of Middleton, passed away peacefully in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on March 19, 2024, after a battle with dementia and liver failure. Born December 4, 1949, he was the son of the late Mark and Hilda (Coldwell) Sabean.

Larry was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 40 years, where he made many memorable friendships. He was Vice-President of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #1, Middleton,  and was involved in various sports leagues during his time there, such as pool, darts, and baseball.

Those who knew Larry, knew he loved sports and how important his favourite teams the Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leafs were. He loved to socialize with his friends and family. Many will remember Larry for his laugh and always offering a helping hand to a friend in need.

Larry leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Sabean; children, Rodney Sabean and Heather Sabean; grandchildren, Jalen Sabean, Gage Sabean, and Hannah Ogilvie; new great-grandchild, Harvey Sabean; brothers, Jack Sabean and Andrew Sabean.

In addition to his parent, Larry will now be reunited with his other siblings, Robert, Evalina, and Richard Sabean.

A Service will be held at a later date during Summer 2024.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or the Royal Canadian Legion. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
