Obituary of Ronald Edward Levy

Ronald Edward Levy, age 90 of New Ross, passed away on March 11, 2024, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born on May 27, 1933, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ruby Levy of New Ross.

Ronald started working in the woods for his father at a very young age. He worked at many woods related and Christmas trees jobs before working in various saw mills, including Elliott’s where he worked until illness forced his retirement. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling stories from years ago. He also enjoyed playing cards and especially enjoyed playing bingo on Sundays when he got to go twice to Oak Hill and Mahone Bay “fire halls”.

Ronald is survived by children, Marlene (Chester), Darlene, Ethel (Clyde), Eddie, Timmy (Shelly), Robert (Vicki), and Connie (Michael); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Willie; sister, Audrey; as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his wife, Louise (Connors); son, Johnny; brothers, Donald (his twin), Josh, Willard, Lawrence, Reginald, and Aubrey.

A Visitation will take place on March 15, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, in the New Ross Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on March 16, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, with a reception to follow at the New Ross Fire Department. Family Flowers only.
