It is with great sadness that the family shares the sudden passing of Beverly “Bev” David Savage, age 75, of Nictaux, at home on December 27, 2023. He was the eldest son of the late James Murray and Neva Kathleen (Morse) Savage.

Bev was a long-time time advertising employee of the Chronicle Herald and other local papers. was known throughout the Annapolis Valley as an advocate for the business community and for his volunteer efforts with various organizations.

In his younger years, Bev enjoyed riding horses, raising livestock, fishing, hunting and camping; he enjoyed being outdoors. He cherished his grandchildren and ensured that when visiting he always had treats for them.

Bev always wanted to stay busy and would never be without a project on the go. He loved his trucks and dogs over the years. He also enjoyed listening to country music.

“Bev would be the first to help when ever needed and will be missed tremendously by his family.”

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Savage (Katrina); step-sons, Scott (Tammy) and Wade; grandchildren, Hailey, Brooke, and Peyton; siblings, Linda MacLellan, Gordon (Betty) Savage, Carla (Ron) Smith, and Heidi (Les Turmel); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bev was predeceased by sister, Donelda (in infancy); and brother-in-law, Herb Maclellan.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral by request. There will be a family gathering at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
