Obituary of Lorraine Dianne Burgess
Lorraine Dianne Burgess (Lake), age 67 of Lower Burlington, passed away on November 23, 2023, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Rita (Mansley) Lake.
Lorraine first worked at the Avon Valley Greenhouse alongside her sister, Sheila, and best friend of over 40 years, Janet Janes. She then went to work for J. W Masons where she picked apples for many years and widened her circle of friends, including her very good friend Joy Lavers. Lorraine loved being in the apple orchards singing and telling stories to those around her. She also cherished the time spent with her family and friends.

Lorraine is remembered by her sons, Brian Burgess (Amanda), Justin Burgess (Melissa); step-children, Merton, Belinda (John), Becky, and Penny; brother, Timmy (Becky) Lake; sister, Barbara Robinson; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by the love of her life for 31 years, Merton Roderick Burgess; sisters, Patricia, Sheila, Delta, and brothers, Lawrence and Stewart.
Cremation has taken place and in keeping with Lorraine’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
