Obituary of Lindsay Robert Brydon

Lindsay Robert Brydon, age 86, passed away suddenly on November 14, 2023, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Berwick on November 26, 1936, he was the eldest son of the late Robert and Edna (Foote) Brydon.

Lindsay lived at the family farm in Black Rock all but the last four years. He farmed with his father and he was a skilled woodsman. He also worked with survey crews and did other kinds of road work during his life.

When not working, Lindsay very much enjoyed  family visits, drives, and bus trips to various parts of Canada and the United States. He was kind, a hard worker, and always willing to help people. He was also a life-long reader, especially history. 

“With his unusual memory for dates, he was a reliable source of family history. We will miss him very much.”

Lindsay is survived by his brother, Gerald (Kathy) Brydon of Montreal, Quebec; sister, Diane (Arthur) Black of Coldbrook; nieces, Suzanna, Marni, Julia, and Alison; nephew, Dylan; two grandnephews; and five grandnieces.

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Lindsay’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
