Obituary of Ellen Ernestine Bell

Ellen Ernestine Bell (Andrews), age 92 of Digby, passed away on July 10, 2023, in Tideveiw Terrace. Born in Hillgrove, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Grace (Bent) Andrews.

Ellen worked at Eaton’sOrder office full-time until becoming a mother and housewife who took pride in keeping a well-functioning home. She kept active with bowling, dinner parties, and crafts such as paper tole and rug hooking, etc.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She was a member of the United Baptist Church and served on many Church committees. She was also an active member of the Bell Aliant Pioneer’s.

Ellen is remembered by her daughter, Cindy Bell; grandchildren, Jared and Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Clarisa, Joey, and Tucker; sister-in-law, Beverly Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Bernie Bell; and brother, Oscar Andrews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the United Baptist Church, Digby. Interment will take place at a later date. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the United Baptist Church or charity of choice.
