Obituary of Joseph Grant Fredericks
Joseph Grant Fredericks (Joe), age 73, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Berwick on July 18, 1949, Joe was the son of the late Grant and Crystal (Corkum) Fredericks.
Joe worked in the agricultural industry prior to his retirement. He enjoyed quiet evenings at home with his beloved dog Molly; as well as the time spent helping his friends.
Joe is survived by his siblings, Doris Doherty, Christine (Bruce), William (Barb), Debbie (Ivan), and Larry; son, Grant Connors; step-daughter, Tammy; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Elaine.
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his grandparents, Joseph and Emma Fredericks, Henrietta and Aubrey Corkum; step-son, Kenny Fredericks; brother-in-law, Reggie Doherty; sister-in-law, Margaret Fredericks, and special friend, Judy.
As per Joe’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Black Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, 1248 Russia Rd, Black Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
