Obituary of Helen Pauline Spencer

Helen Pauline (Stevens) Spencer, age 86 of Wolfville, passed away on June 21, 2023, in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born on August 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Stevens.

Helen enjoyed sitting outside watching the hummingbirds from her front porch, especially while sipping her Red Rose tea each morning. She was the heart of her family and treasured their family gathering often, where she would play her favorite classic country music. She cherished the time spent tending her rose bushes and the smell they would give when in bloom.

Helen is lovingly remembered by her children, Mikel Spencer, Steve (Shannon) Spencer, Tom (Dorothy) Spencer, Alex (Kathy) Spencer, Patty (Mike) Kelly, Audrey (Joe) Walsh, Tammy Spencer, Stella Burton, David Spencer, Steve Spencer, Peter Lockhart, and Gary Spencer; grandchildren, Holly Spencer, Jolene Spencer, Scott Spencer, Shane Spencer, Elissa Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Christine Kelly, Jennifer Walsh, Janet Walsh, Jessica Spencer, Christopher Spencer, Melissa Spencer, Jennifer Spencer, Jason Lannigan, Debbie Spencer, and Danny Spencer; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, David, Brady, Kaylee, Christopher, Ryder, Kinsley, Jason, Dylan, Liam, Dallas, Hunter, Rowan, Nadia, Vivian, Desmond, Wilhem, Kaiden; great great-grandchildren, Emma and William; brothers, Stanley Stevens and Keith Stevens; and sister, Barbara Mcdermit.

In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey Spencer; children, Les Spencer and Tim Spencer; grandson, Gregory Spencer; brothers, Dave Stevens, Wade Stevens, and Ted Stevens; sisters, Peggy Stevens, Doris Stevens, and Jean Croft.

A Funeral Service will be held on June 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Serenity Funeral Home. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
