Obituary of Beverly Walsh

Joan “Beverly” Walsh passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 21, 2023, at the age of 79. Born in St. Stephens, NB, she moved to Wolfville at a young age.
Beverly worked for the Wolfville Nursing Home for many years. She then went to work for Acadia University at the Physical Plant and worked there until her retirement.
Beverly enjoyed coaching and cheering on her children’s ball teams and took pleasure in bowling, fishing, and hunting. She was also an avid Bingo player and enjoyed attending Kitchen Parties with guitars, lots of singing and a “few” drinks.
Beverly is lovingly remembered by daughters, Margo Peterson (Bruce), Cindy Walsh (Ted), and Marlene Jolley (Peter); grandchildren, Christopher, Nitatsha, Timara, Nathan, Jasmyn, Nicholas, and Sidney; great-grandchildren, Riley, Thomas, Ian, Wyatt, Karlee, Charlie, Bentley, and Gracie; half-sister, Marjorie Lloyd; many nieces and nephews; honorary daughter, Christine; honorary grandchildren, Alyssa and Krista; as well as lifetime friend “sister”, Kate.
Beverly was predeceased by her mother, Margarett Wooff; and son, Stephen Walsh.
Special thanks to the staff at the Valley Regional Hospital, and special mention to Robert and Dr. Doyle in the ICU, and the nursing staff and Dr. Cull in MED “A”.
There will be no visitation by request and cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held May 31, 2023, at 2:00 pm, in the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville; there will be an immediate family gathering only after the service at Bruce Peterson's. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
