Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Pelton
Elizabeth Ann Pelton, age 60, of Berwick, peacefully passed away from this life to the next on February 2, 2023 at the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Berwick on September 8, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Pelton and Marguerite Reeves.
Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Elizabeth’s character was that of a strong woman, yet a very humble and quiet spirit was within her. She also had a comical dry sense of humor with a little snippet of sass at times. Elizabeth was a delight to be with, always considerate of others around her.
Elizabeth was devoted to her children, grandson and family. She was especially fond of her children Kristina and Joseph and her adorable grandson Paxton. She was overjoyed with the birth of each of her children and was a stay-at-home Mom when her children were young until she became a single mother. She loved raising her children, that was the biggest joy of her life.
Elizabeth was also a hard worker and enjoyed her many years employed at Bargain Harleys in Berwick and she carried fond memories of those she worked with. Due to health reasons Elizabeth had to retire early. She then enjoyed her days at home baking and preparing meals, there was always something delicious planned for each day. She relished a great family get together and summer barbecues, as well as birthday parties for her mother. She especially loved to see all the nieces and nephews playing and having so much fun.
Elizabeth carries a special place in each person’s heart she came in contact with and Jeff had a special place in her heart and they remained close until the end.
To say our lives will not be the same without her is an understatement, Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her family and friends. And the precious memories we carry in our hearts will have to be enough till we meet again.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Kristina Sweeney and Joseph Sweeney both of Middleton; sisters, Diana Brothers of Bedford, Darlene (Kevin) Kenneally of Harbourville, Rebecca (Keith) Pulsifer of Waterville; brother, Chris Pelton of Hantsport and Darrell (Bonnie) Pelton of Waterville; grandson, Paxton Sweeney of Middleton; as well as many nieces and nephews who were very special to her.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by brother, Rickey Pelton; nephew, Trevor Pelton, and brother-in-law, James H Brothers.
A special thank you to the ICU Doctor, Dr. Lee and Nurses at the Valley Regional Hospital, you were all beyond amazing with your compassion and care for Elizabeth.
