Obituary of Douglas Blair MacAulay
Douglas Blair MacAulay of Grand Lake Road, Sydney, sadly passed away at Hospice Halifax on February 5, 2023. He passed peacefully listening to Sam Cooke, after a 3 year of illness.
Born May 15, 1960, Doug is survived by siblings Carolyn, Danny (Katy), Kenny, Patricia (Ron), and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents Archie and Doris MacAulay.
He was a caring person who’s greatest joy was found with his friends, working on old vehicles, and caring for his feline companions. The kindness of his friends will not be forgotten and he appreciated and spoke of you all until the end. You know who you are, and you brought joy with every visit, chat, drive, coffee over this period of time.
As per Doug’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Donations can be made to the Sydney SPCA who took in his furry friends at the end. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
