Obituary of Wayne Ronald Lidster
Please share a memory of Wayne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Wayne Ronald Lidster, at the age of 87 on February 1, 2023, surrounded by his family. Wayne was the son of the late Lorne and Marion Lidster (Keegan).
Wayne was born in Belleville Ontario and grew up in the Toronto area. He moved to Cape Breton in the early 1950’s. He worked as a burner mechanic and had a long successful career. He met his loving wife “Peg” and moved to the Halifax area. Together for the next 33-years they enjoyed a life filled with family, friends and travel. They travelled from the Arctic Circle to Key West and from British Columbia to Newfoundland in their roadtrek camper, what an amazing adventure.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peg” Dessureau; his beloved daughters, Erin (Eamonn) and Jodie (John); two stepchildren, Chantal (Chris) and Gilles (Irene); sister, Joan Lilly (Lidster); and his adored eight grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Dale Lidster.
A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Meals on Wheels. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
