Dearest Pam. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Bob, and send our deepest and most sincere condolences.
We were neighbours for only a short while in Bromley, Kent, but have often wondered what you were up to after your stint in Qatar. We are so pleased you were able to retire together and make many lovely memories with each other, which we hope in time you can look back on with fondness.
Sending our love and prayers to you.

Bob was a beautiful person. I have so many fond memories - demos, festivals, gigs -and we had so much fun. He was thoughtful, kind and generous. A good friend to me. He taught me what to cook with a fennel bulb and garlic.

I remember you as uncle Robert or uncle Bob as my mum (Jane) would say. You used to bring mum, me and Mack up to Kent and we'd go to London and go to eat food we'd never have and take us to places that seemed unreal to me and Mack as children. Remember the house in Kent when you'd cook us food and me and mack would get too hyper on coca cola and probably wound you up but you made sure we were all good. One of my fondest memories was playing and acting Steve Irwin as a kid and everyone laughing in your garden and mum eating aubergine flowers I think it was? . RIP Uncle Robert

I met Bob when I was about 8 years old. My mum had a fantastic network of friends through work, and Bob was one off them. I have so many fond memories of Bob. He was a kind, fun, thoughtful man who seemed just as happy playing with me and my brother as he was hanging out of with the grown ups. I remember him giving me his bear, which I called Bob, it was thin and tall just like him with black jeans and a white shirt. I remember my mum and her friends watched Live Aid in our house and Bob was the life and soul of the party.
Whenever I think of Live Aid, or hear Radio Ga Ga - I always think of Bob. RIP x

Little did we know when we moved to NS in 2016 that our neighbours, Pam & Bob, would become such dear friends and our surrogate family. Through the birth of our son, the pandemic, our wedding, and countless other life events, Pam and Bob were always right there, a glass in hand to celebrate with us. Those who knew Bob in pre-retirement might also be surprised to hear that among the many hats he wore, he added "wedding-planner" to that list in the summer of 2022. Not only did he and Pam generously help to organize our big day, Bob undertook the preparation of the vegetarian portion of the meal for our reception. In the short time we knew him, Bob left an indelible mark on our family. His kind and gentle nature, his self-deprecating humour, his stories, his music, his warm smile, and his daily "Helloooo" from over the fence are missed so dearly. We have so much love for you Bob, we will always carry you in our hearts, wave to you in the stars and the moon, and chat with you in the garden. Our deepest condolences to Pam, and to all those who loved him as much as we did. - Christine, Chris, Archie and the dogs xo

Bob was a beautiful person. I have so many fond memories - demos, festivals, gigs -and we had so much fun. He started working at TWCC aged 18, with short hair and glasses and gradually changed into looking like a rock god. He will never be forgotten.

first our deepest Condolences with Bob’s suddenly passing. We all were in a shock for our dear friend Pam.
We know Bob and Pam from the time they were living in Qatar. Our memories were that Bob was an excellent host!
Could make the best cocktails and mock-tails. And we had some lovely times together.
on the 29th of April 2011 Bob and Pam hosted friends in their Qatari House so we could enjoy on a big screen the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate. it was a great warm celebration we never will forget.
We managed to visit Bob and Pam in Canada and considered they had settled so well into their life. Bob seemed to have found his true vocation with the garden and greenhouse and it was so nice to spend time enjoying the fruits of his and Pams efforts. We feel deeply for Pams loss and send her strength to try and cope at this difficult time. lots of love, Bea and Keith

Uncle Bob,
I am totally shocked and saddened by this news.
A lot of my happiest childhood memories come from visiting your house in Bromley - every year I longed for those few days in London because I knew that you would have some exciting plans and excursions lined up. The fondest memory is perhaps when you asked the chefs in Pizza Express if Ira and I could go into the kitchen to cook our own pizzas...a memory, amongst others, that I have always cherished. They seem so much more substantial now.
Not only do I owe some of my best childhood memories to you, but also my love for cricket. You taught me the rules (patiently) and bought me my first bat and pads. They got utilized until it was no longer safe to do so... a very valuable gift indeed.
It now seems pretty devastating that we didn't keep in more regular contact over the more recent years.
Rest easy up there.
Your nephew, Mack x

So very heartbroken to hear of Bobs sudden passing, taken way too soon.I am so very priveleged to have known and worked with such an amazing mentor and leader and what a legendary cocktail maker! The memories of our times together in Qatar are endless and filled with so much fun and laughter. Bob and Pam made Huw and myself both feel so very welcome, Thursday soirees at their home with Chris was the norm, I can still picture the five of us around the table laughing usually at one of Bobs bad jokes or him recanting an escapade from work or his travels. Generosity and kindness in abundance, the type you never forget. A bright star has gone from this world into the next. I shall miss Bob dearly but will cherish every memory that will live me forever. You left a massive legacy in Qatar at the QICDRC Bob, it continues to go from strength to strength through your sheer hard work and determination. Cause havoc up there! I know you are shining bright. In my heart, until we meet again.

This is the biggest shock. The deepest hole. I loved you for longer than we had difficulties. It is hard to comprehend that we will never resolve what ever happened.
You were more than my brother, for so many many years…my friend, my partner in all those firsts. If it hadn’t have been for you, I’m not sure I would have developed my music taste. Blimey! I thank the gods for that. We giggled, we went to rallies, we got drunk…..and indeed, that hair was spectacular! Not a week went by when I didn’t think of you. It’s true. And right now, that os the proverbial loop. All the love, your sister, Jane

I've known Pam and Bob since they first came to this little corner of the world to tend gardens and put up preserves. :-) I can't imagine the gardens and Pam, without Bob's love and enthusiastic nurturing. His love for Pam and his passion for everything he set his hand and mind to was a wonder to delight in. The brilliant light we all knew as Bob made us all the better for having been caught up in his glow. Bob, you are truly missed by us all.

Bob is one of the kindest, most intelligent and endearing people I've ever met and I'll truly miss his lovely warmth and wit. I appreciated his wide-ranging knowledge, wry sense of humour, and gentle wisdom. In addition to his intellect and learning, he made the best dirty martinis, and his remarkable flair for creating the most amazing, delicious dishes remains unparalleled! Thank you, Bob, for touching our lives so deeply and I will cherish your wonderful memory always. xoxo
