Obituary of Marjorie Violet McKay-Fisher

Marjorie Violet McKay, born July 29, 1941, in New Glasgow, to the late Leo and Dorothy McKay, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Colchester Community Health Centre in Truro.

Marjorie was loved by many people. Her zeal to share her love for Jesus was evident wherever she went. Sharing this unparalleled love to her family and friends left a lasting impact on them.

Marjorie loved gardening and always found new and interesting facts about planting techniques. She loved nature and going for walks. She enjoyed reading, studying, and diarized daily.

Marjorie had a love for people and cared for them in her unique way. She spoke of her beautiful sisters and brothers daily and always prayed for God’s best over their lives.

Left to mourn is son, Shawn Fisher; very important close family members, Linda Fisher, Angie Fisher Cyr, John Fisher, and Hazel Fisher Curtis; sisters and brothers, Juanita Bartlett, Nadine McKay, Linda Whidden, Charlene Butler, Jimmy McKay, Betty McKay and Carol McKay; grandchildren, Terra Singer and Daniel Weatherby; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addtion to her parents, Marjorie was preceased by her ex-husband of which she was fond, Stewart Fisher; sons, Paul Fisher, Raymond Fisher, and Wade Fisher; daughter, Shelly Lee; and brothers, Raymond McKay and Ralph McKay.

Special thanks  to the Colchester Community Health Centre for their care. As well, many thanks to all those whoreached out with their love and support.

A  Spring Graveside Committal will be held in the Crossroads Cemetery, in Valley, Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
