Obituary of Pauline Linda Kyle
Pauline Linda (Sisco) Kyle, August 30th, 1956 – November 22nd, 2022. After a courageous battle with cancer, Pauline Linda (Sisco) Kyle exchanged her fleshly robe of mortality to put on the fresh robe of immortality. Forever to abide in the presence of Jesus Christ, our Saviour and King.
Pauline grew up in Lockhartville surrounded by family. In her early, years she moved to Halifax along with her older sister, Sharon and younger brother, Gerry to live with their older sister, Anne, and her family. After public school, Pauline began a career in health services in Halifax until marrying and then moving to Africa.
Pauline loved to travel. She enjoyed learning about and experiencing different cultures, people, and cuisines from all over the world. She had the good fortune to have lived in many different countries throughout her lifetime including Kenya, Jamaica, and the United States. After returning to Canada, she settled in Ontario where she worked as an LPN for several years and meet met her husband, Patrick. After retiring she moved to Quebec to live closer to her sister, Sharon, and her family, as well to enjoy her retirement with Patrick and their dog, Kia.
The biggest joy of her life was being a mother to Natasha who she loved more than anything. They had an exciting life together living in Africa and the Caribbean when Natasha was younger. Although for the last several years they have lived in different countries, this did not diminish the love she felt and had for her daughter.
Before her death, Pauline returned to her Nova Scotia, with the plan to help “Momma Anne” and be surrounded by her extended family. Unfortunately, the diagnosis of cancer she received in July cut short the new life she had planned. Pauline accepted the journey that was ahead of her. Throughout her battle with cancer, she demonstrated an abundance of cheerfulness, an extraordinary sense of positivity, indomitable courage, and rare grace. This all reinforced her understanding of the importance of family. She was blessed to have her family with her in these final months and this was especially evident by the exceptional, loving, and devoted care that her sisters and niece offered her in her final days.
She had one very special great nephew that she affectionately referred to as 'My Little, Big Man' who brought her much laughter, joy, and love.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Natasha Zeleza; and her siblings Aileen Johnson, Alice (Pantelis) Caffatos, Audrey (Thomas - deceased) Briggs, Anne (Bob - deceased) Safire, Dorothy (Lyle - deceased) Brown, Freddie (Carol - deceased) Sisco, Sharon (Rhéal) Rivest, and Gerry (Sharon) Sisco; 15 nieces and nephews, 26 great-nieces and nephews, and one great great-niece and one great great-nephew.
Pauline was predeceased by her parents, James, and Ethel (Neil) Sisco; a sister, Margaret Sisco; brothers, Ivan and Harold Sisco; and one great-niece, Haley Rochester.
