Obituary of Geraldine Elizabeth Singleton

Geraldine “Gerry” Elizabeth Singleton, 77, of Hants Border, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2022, in her home with her loved ones by her side. Born May 6, 1945, she was the youngest daughter of the late Currie and Ethel (Eldridge) Armstrong.

Gerry worked for the ScotiaBank in Hantsport for over 30-years as a Personal Banking Officer. She was also the president of the Hants Border Community Hall for many years; here, she acquired and worked with many life-long friends.

Gerry will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Ernest “Ernie” Singleton; sons, Craig (Janet), Hants Border; Chad (Mandy), Brooklyn; grandson, Connor, Hants Border; Brittany (Shawn) Hazlett, Falls Lake; Hayden, Brooklyn; Quinn, Brooklyn; sister, Joyce (Ron) Reynolds, Falmouth; sisters-in-law, Mary Armstrong, Windsor; Doris Singleton, Hantsport; Rose Singleton, Hantsport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Gerry was predeceased by sisters Harriett Bishop (2002) and Marion Armstrong (1962); and her only brother Morris Armstrong (2022).

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, Palliative Care Team, VON, Home Care staff, and many others who have seen to Gerry’s care over the last number of years, as well as the many friends who brought food to the house in her time of need.

Cremation has taken place, and a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm in the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, with Rev. Garnet Parker officiating.
