Dar and I were only 15 mo. apart and therefore became good friends throughout our life time. When he lived in NL he came for Christmas and some of his vacations. He lived a simple life and was happy with himself. The one regret, I think, was never finding a mate and having children but he enjoyed the his nieces as they grew and then their children. He always asked how they were doing, He was interested in his sister’s friends and kept up on their coming and goings. Sometimes his corny jokes offended but he could be straightened out fast if he went off side. He was a good emotional support to us all and went about his life never complaining. I will miss him.
