Edgar and Barbara Thorpe were two of the dearest people I ever knew. When I visited Scott's Bay with their daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Kyle Pettinga, in 1994, Edgar was a gracious and caring host, and I always enjoyed spending time with both of them whenever they visited Marilyn in Vermont. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. God Speed, Dad.
