Ferne, Mrs Dunn, Natasha, Heather and all members of Garry’s family - our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. I’ve known Garry since 1980 in Goose Bay and our paths crossed continuously for decades since. We’ve shared many laughs, reminisced of great days gone by and boy did we play cards. Natasha and I were the best team though, and couldn’t be beat! He was a great friend to me in Kentville while I was ill and visited regularly to make sure I kept my chin up. Rest in peace my friend. God bless. Kevin & Pauline Meehan.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Had a good working relationship with Garry for many years. We kept in touch for years after his retirement and enjoyed recalling old times. He was always entertaining and interested in hearing about other mutual friends. He was a fun family man and I’m sure will be missed. Hopefully all the wonderful memories you have will help to fill the void in your lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of our former neighbor Garry. He was always quick to engage in a yard conversation or surprise us with a Costco size package of liquorice while confessing that her shouldn’t eat it himself. Rest In Peace Garry. Hugs to Ferne and his family.

To Ferne, Carl & Barb and the Dunn family,
Gary was a good friend you could run into every 5 -10 years and the laughs would still be there. We were lucky to have visited with him & Ferne a few summers ago. That afternoon was filled with memories and laughs; his welcome was as big as his sense of humor. Our condolences to all the family and friends.

Gary was a big part of my life as we grew up in Freshwater. We shared many memories. I felt at home in his house as I did my own. His dad Fred (Mr Dunn) and his mom Theresa(MrsDunn) always made me welcome and sometimes his sister Linda. I miss my good friend. He came to Newfoundland several years ago and we had an opportunity to spend a little time together. Take care my good friend, I will miss you.

Garry was our next door neighbour for several years when we first moved to Kentville. Being new to Nova Scotia, I was delighted to learn Garry was a fellow Newfoundlander. We had many enjoyable and interesting chats over the fence. I loved his sense of humour and his dialect was music to my hears. We are so very sorry to hear of his passing. Deepest condolences to all his family and friends.

Forever in my heart. My sincere condolences to Fern and his entire family. The stories we can all tell and precious memories are bringing on the flood gates. Rest in peace my dear friend and fellow Placentia Bay'er and if I was near you, I'd say "see old man, this is what it's like to be dead" and give you a smack. Love you and see you on the other side. This time we're havin a few.

Dear Ferne, and Family,
We were very sad to learn of Gary's passing. As you know, our paths have crossed, in numerous situations; like the cruise in 2011 (South Caribbean), and in various get-togethers in tandem with our friend in common, the late Dick Muise.
May whatever gives you solace and closure at such a time as this, be present in abundance. May the good experiences keep Gary alive in our memories.
Sincerely,
Gordon and Dawn Whitehead

So sorry to hear of Garry's passing. He always took time to visit when he was in NL. Sometimes had a game of crib and if he won just said "see you next time" and off he went. We always enjoyed his visits. Take consolation in the fact that his suffering has ended. Sincere condolences to all the family.
