Obituary of Pauline Mable Miller

Please share a memory of Pauline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pauline Mable Miller, 92 of Windermere passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital.  Born in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Tracey and Laura (Hatt) Dorey.

She was a loving mother of nine children, and even raised two grandchildren in the same compassionate manner. Pauline’s home was a family hang-out; where, with open arms, she fed and cared for all that entered.

Pauline enjoyed playing bingo in her home with her daughters Marilyn, Gwendolyn and Carolyn.  In her early years, she loved the dancing dates with her husband, Arnold. She also appreciated her time baking and listening to Newfoundland music on T.V. every weekend.

She worked for a number of years at the WKM Hospital in Berwick and then moved on to the Grand View Manor. Pauline retired from the Grand View Manor after 21 years of employment.

She was everyone’s “Nanny”.  Pauline was the heart of the family and she will be missed by many.

Pauline is survived by her daughters Gwendolyn (Dean) Amero, Waterville; Donna Miller (Emery), Kentville; sons Glendon (Heather) Miller, Morristown; Wade (Sherry) Miller, Berwick; Ricky (Debbie) Miller, Morristown; Walter Miller, Hamilton, ON; son-in-law Aubrey Corkum; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband Arnold; daughters Marilyn Morse, Caroline Miller and a daughter in infancy, Rose Marie Miller; son LaRaine Miller; and granddaughter Rhetta Morse.

There will be a celebration of Pauline’s life at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of one’s choice.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
