Dear Carolyn and Charles.....It was my intention when I read Tony’s obituary to contact you on the loss of your dear son. I was certain I had your number in my phone but no.
I cannot imagine the sadness you are experiencing....I remember when speaking with you that you spent much time together as a family and with your church family as well. It’s lovely to be embraced by those friends.
Please know we are keeping you in our prayers and in our thoughts.
Carolyn

I will fondly remember when Tony and his.dad would come into the tim hortons that I work at every Wednesday. I affectionately called them my Wednesday night boys. Tony and I would tease each other,, he was a very good sport lol. And when covid happened, Charles would bring him to the mall so I could go out to the truck to say hi. I will.miss him terribly. My heart breaks for his family. Rest in peace my dear friend

Tony was instrumental in helping guide me to my life's path, and without him there isn't a chance I would be pursing my MSW MSW now. We were matched for two years in Best Buddies, and when it came time for me to find a job after graduation he said, "Why not come live with us at Emmaus house, Jen?" And, so I did for the next 3+ years.
Tony taught me about unconditional acceptance, forgiveness and love. He taught me how to be brave, and stand up for what's right. He never complained about his lot in life, and never failed to see the sunshine in any given moment. He taught me, it didn't matter if my voice was off key and squeaky, as long as I sang the songs loudly and with joy from my heart.
Tony will be a part of my heart forever.

Dearest family of our Tony ...
I was so very sorry to hear of Tony's passing - he was one of those bright lights that always brought a smile and a warm feeling, like you had just been hugged. I loved those Sunday's when he was able to join us in Church and his relationship with our Pastor's was so special - especially with Pastor Wayne. I am so thankful I was there to see your family light the Advent Candle at Christmas - a treasured memory for sure.
Not everyone lights up a room when they enter and leaves that light shining when they leave - Tony was one of those people. I believe he was that way because of the support and independence you both gave him as he grew up, along with the love of his family and friends. It humbles me to know you were able to instill in him such faith and love for Jesus when many of us hope to instill just that in our own children, and can't. You both did that as well, he was so loved. You certainly have so very much to be proud of, and to miss.
I pray your memories give you strength along with the ability to smile when you see photos of him ... and remember. I hope you visit each other in your dreams until you travel to your forever home and are reunited again.
I believe anyone who knew him has been blessed in some way. That was his special gift. You are so right Tony, it is A Wonderful World!!

I am Tony’s cousin and have many special memories of him from growing up, and then seeing him on vacations every year. I have a special memory of when I was visiting their home, after I was an adult, and my son Was teaching Tony to play Angry Birds on his I-pad. He was having so much fun! And watching them laughing together was great! I also loved how he never forgot a name, or a birthday. He was such a special guy and his love for family, friends, and Jesus always shone through. I bet he’s loving hanging out with Jesus now and being able to run and sing his heart out. He will be greatly missed. ❤️

Dear Charles and Carolyn,
My wife Erna and I send you our deepest condolences on the passing of Tony. Ingrid had kept us informed of his last days and it is comforting to know you were with him. Tony never ceased to pick me up with his hearty greeting whenever we met and always brought great joy with his rendition of "Its A Wonderful World". His consistently happy manner helped many of us put things into perspective. We will miss him, the L'Arche building will never be the same without him. I hope you will take comfort from knowing how much he was loved by all of us.
Sincerely,
Sandy

So sorry to hear about Tony's passing. I think back to Charlie playing with him as a young boy who was the same age as my daughter Dawn and his struggle through the years. As we passed each other through those younger years, he made a positive impact on my life. I often admiringly thought of him, remembering his warm welcomeing comments when we chanced to meet. ----------------George--------------

Carolyn & Charles: Condolences to you on the loss of a very special son. I always enjoyed seeing Tony at Church and how he loved being there. Our hearts are with you at this time of sorrow, we have often wondered where you and Tony lived after moving from Dartmouth. Tony appeared to fill his life with music, joy and friends during his stay on this earth, I am sure he will meet the other Tony in heaven and they can remember old times on Spring Avenue with Dave Campbell.
Our sincere condolences. Gerry and Carol Martin
