Obituary of Annie Jean Lindsay

Annie Jean Lindsay, 90 of Cambridge passed away February 17, 2020 in the Valley Regional Hospital.  Born in Selma, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma (Smith) Boylan.

Annie really enjoyed her vacations in Cape Breton and absolutely loved the Cabot Trail.  She adored animals and had a special place in her heart for horses, and she was still riding horses into her 80’s.  In her early years, Annie would spend a lot of time making quilts for her family. She was always there for her cherished family, as well as be there for anyone that needed help. Her favorite pass-time was puzzle books and Spaghetti Westerns.

Annie held a few jobs in her career.  She was employed at Avon Foods, AL Campbell’s Trading Post, Canada Foods, Scotian Gold and really enjoyed being in the strawberry fields picking berries.

She was so funny, fun-loving, feisty and absolutely adored her husband.

She is survived by her loving husband J. Russell Lindsay; daughters Carol (Steven) Roberts, Halifax; Sylvia (Bob) Corbin, Coldbrook; Karen (Alan) Munro, Fort McMurray, AB; Cheryl (Steve) Roode, Debert; Crystal Mosher, Cambridge; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers Douglas; John; Harry; Silas; nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by her daughter Veronica; sons Roderick and Kevin; brothers Fred, Frank, Charlie and Vincent (in infancy).

Cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
