Obituary of Ralph James Laidlaw

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ralph Laidlaw on January 15, 2020 at the age of 69.

Ralph will always be remembered for his calm demeanor, kind, gentle spirit and infectious smile. He was retired after a long tenure at Canada Post.

Ralph was extremely proud and spoke often of his son Sean and grandson Tyler.

Ralph will be sadly missed by his loving partner Maureen Nicholl and cherished dog Dyllon. He is also survived by his son Sean Laidlaw, daughter in-law April, grandson Tyler, sister Carolyn Ward, brother in-law Harold Ward, brother Dan Laidlaw, step-father John Boucher, nephew Darryl Ward, niece Cheryl Ward and families; predeceased by mother Elva Boucher and father Ralph.

The family would like to thank Eva and the rest of the staff at the QEII Hospital for their loving and compassionate care during his stay.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada and/or Mental Health Foundation of NS in Ralph’s memory.
