Obituary of Annie Ella Leary

Annie Ella Leary, 95 of New Ross passed away peacefully on December 18, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Lenihan) Naugler.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and also worked at many jobs throughout her lifetime, the last being at Avon Foods. She enjoyed gardening, especially her vegetable garden and preserving.

Annie is survived by her son Russell (Betty) Skerry, New Ross; daughter Virginia (Michael) Rafuse, New Ross; daughters-in-law Anna (Edison) Skerry, New Ross and Dianne (George) Skerry, Ottawa; grandchildren Dewayne (Paula) Skerry, Annapolis; Patricia (Geoff) Woodworth, Windsor; Wanda Hasse and Jeffrey Skerry, Chester; Edison (Tanya) Skerry, New Ross; Tanya (Mike) Peterson, Musquodoboit; Adam Rafuse, Montreal; Kristian Rafuse, Halifax; six great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter; sisters Faye Lenihan, Mary Dorey and Doris Weisner; brothers Harvey, Morris and Billy.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Russell Skerry, Sr.; her second husband Elias Leary; sons George Skerry, Edison Skerry and Charles Skerry; sisters Madeline, Marge, Jean, Joyce, Della and Patsy; brother George.

Arrangements have been postponed until a later date to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to the Christ Anglican Church or New Ross Volunteer Fire Dept.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home New Ross Funeral Chapel, 4935 Hwy #12, New Ross, B0J 2M0 (902-689-2961).
