Obituary of Barrie Harold Black

Barrie Harold Black, born on January 30, 1948. Husband, father, brother, son, friend, advocate, mentor, connector, confidant, entrepreneur and athlete, passed away September 16, 2019.

Barrie is survived by his wife Linda; children Lyndsay and Simon; and sister Lynn; family near and far and an incredible group of close friends who are family.

Barrie was known for his larger-than-life personality, amazing sense of humour, witty banter and great storytelling. He truly loved, and was loved by, those who were lucky enough to call him a friend.

He leaves a strong legacy of friendship, community, and connection. We want to thank Barrie's amazing doctors and Oncology team who never gave up on him.
