Obituary of Beatrice Ann Virginia Everett

Everett, Beatrice “Ann” Virginia – Age 65 of Kentville, passed away June 6, 2019 in Shannex Orchard Court, Kentville, where she had been residing since December 2018. Born in Newfoundland in 1954, she was the oldest of nine children. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Garnet Everett.  She is survived by her three children; Cindy (Chris) Pinner, Ray Everett and Joy (Melvin) Walker and her Grandchildren Allan Pinner, David (Courtney Francis) Pinner, and Alyssa Walker, and her siblings; Susan Saunders, Fred Saunders, Cathy Hartley, Jannette Saunders, John Hartlen and Lillian Oakes, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

Ann loved her own children and grandchildren beyond measure, but also had a deep love for all children. She had taken on the second mom role when she was just 5 years old, helping her own mom with her eight siblings.  Mothering came natural to Ann and she was blessed to have taken care of so many babies and young children over the years, as she offered childcare to those who needed it. She loved each one as if they were her very own and was always a little sad when they moved on to school. While her own children were young, she devoted many hours into the various activities they were involved in. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, loved a good card game and adored spending time with her family. She was a kind and gentle soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Shannex Orchard Court for the wonderful care Ann received during her time there.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a Celebration of Ann’s Life following visitation at 2:00 pm, both in the Berwick Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow at Cambridge Cemetery. Family Flowers only please. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Associations or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
