Obituary of Harold Joseph Hudson

Harold Joseph Hudson, Age 77, of Dartmouth.  It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Harold on May 11, 2019 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Gordon Hudson and the late Temyson Hudson (Chapman).

Harold was a dedicated husband to the love of his life Lyn. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Grace Evelyn Hudson (Edwards); his son, Gregory Hudson; and his siblings, Joan Turner and Gordon "Bud" Hudson.

He is survived by his brother, Lawrence; his son, Timothy Hudson, Woodlawn; his daughter, Melissa (James) Mallard, Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Sarah (Chad) Hudson, Bedford; Alicia (Michael) Hudson, Eastern Passage; Meaghan Hudson, Eastern Passage; Andrew Mallard, Cold Lake, Alta.; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Daysen, Bedford; and Jack, Quinn, and Shae, Eastern Passage. Harold will be greatly missed by his dog Bootsie and his large extended family.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Harold's life will be held in Holy Trinity Church Hall, 30 Alfred St., Dartmouth, on Saturday, May 25th from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or Dartmouth SPCA.
