Carleton Clarence Conrad, 86 of Aylesford  passed away on April 15, 2019 at the Valley Regional Hospital. Carleton was a member of the People’s 25:40 Church. Carleton is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Audrey (Porter), his daughter, Irene (Stephen) Cooper, granddaughters Angela Cooper and Amanda (James) Lutz, sisters Anna Fevens, Alice Amiro, Laurene Owen, Evelyn Garrett and brother Edward. Carleton is predeceased by his son, Donald Conrad, sisters Marie Barry, Violet Wallace, Cecelia Doucet and Marilyn Porter and brothers Eric and Stewart in infancy.

Carleton spent many years working for Hermes Electronics while spending many evening hours repairing electronics before retiring to Aylesford, Nova Scotia and enjoying years of gardening and frequenting various local breakfasts, luncheons and dinners in support of local organizations. He was a founding member of Regal Road United Baptist Church where he mowed the field by hand and was a faithful member and Deacon of several churches in both Dartmouth and the Valley.

A visitation will take place on April 20, 2019 from 12pm-1:30pm and a Funeral Service will be held on April 20, 2019 at 2pm both in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place in the Aylesford Union Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the People’s 25:40 Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
