Janet, I’m so sorry to read about the passing of your husband Jerry. You guys were a dinamic couple. I always looked forward to you and Jerry singing at the senior’s luncheons. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers Janet. I was talking to Eileen Dockerty. She was surprised to hear the news about Jerry too. We always read the obituariesand can’t figure out how we misses Jerry’s obituary.

To Janet, Holly, Joan & Family. So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. In times like these it is so good to know of, and cling to, the eternal hope we have. I still have fond memories of the family vacation times we enjoyed when we were younger, especially at the cottage at Lake Echo. So glad that I had the opportunity to visit with Jerry & Janet the summer of 2017 at dad's home here in Gander. Praying that you will find peace in the midst of your loss and that you be strengthened knowing the hope that Jerry had in his Lord & Saviour.

Jerry was a good man. He used to come to my house and teach my son how to play guitar and all he wanted for a payment was cookies. So my wife made him some cookies and biscuits and he loved it and was happy with that. He was always polite and concerned for your being. He was such a generous soul.
He had a solid Christian faith and he loved Lord Jesus. I have no doubt that he is with Christ now in the presence of the Lord. So sad to see him go so early, but so happy where he is now.

We were so saddened to hear of Jerry’s passing. Our prayers and condolences go out to Janet, Holly and family, Burpee and Jo-Anne and extended family. Jerry was a gentle gentleman. We have many fond memories of him from our time at FTC. He loved worship, GROC, diving and driving his motorcycle. A great man that will be missed. What a hope we have to know that he is free from pain and with Jesus. We will meet you in Heaven, Jerry.

Jerry was a great guy.
As a bus driver she was always friendly and had a smile on his face every time we rode the bus.
Myself and my wife Lynne got to know Jerry while riding the 20 Herring Cove bus.
Overtime I discovered his love of motorcycles. I just got my first bike in 30 years, and his advice was a big help in returning to motorcycle.
He even riode down to Windsor with me for my bikes first service.
Unfortunately due to circumstances that was our first and last ride together.
Jerry, buddy, I miss you. A new friend that I will always be grafeful I meant.
Jerry enjoy the motorcycle rides in heaven, lots of open road and scenery.
Walt and Lynne

I'd like to send my condolences to all of Jerrys' family and friends. I met him through volunteering with Parker St Food Bank. He, Burpee, Charles & I delivered a lot of food boxes. He was a great companion on those days, as we ran all over HRM. Jerry was like having a personal GPS, as he knew all the shortcuts from his time with Metro Transit and taxi driving. Although sometimes he may have seemed big and a little gruff, he was hiding a kind heart and deeply caring manner for those less fortunate or struggling with life. I know he is now at rest and hope for the peace of Christ for his family.

Thanking God for Jerry’s life in Christ that he lived so faithfully. A song that I heard years ago certainly speaks to the man Jerry was when it says, “I’m a new creation, I’m a brand new man. Old things are passed away, I’ve been born again. More than a conqueror that’s who I am. I’m a new creation, I’m a brand new man.” Jerry’s life in Christ was marked by service to the Lord. No job was too small - Jerry served God faithfully. Sympathy to Janet, his wife, and to his daughter, Holly, son-in-law, Matt, grandchildren Kayden and Teyla, sister, Joan, and his many nieces and nephews, and extended family. Praying that God will strengthen you and give you an abundance of His peace during this difficult season.

I am deeply saddened by Jerry's passing. Jerry was always calm, kind, funny, corney and had a special way of being there for you before you knew you needed someone. I will never forget the time he helped get my car out of a snow drift during a blizzard without hesitation( there was nobody around, then Jerry just appeared out of nowhere).
I will always appreciate our conversations and wise words shared. My deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Our hearts are saddened by your loss. Janet, Holly and family we are praying that the God of mercy and grace that Jerry sang about will bring you comfort in this most difficult time. I remember Jerry loved singing in the FTC International Choir. He was also one of my bus drivers for FTC bus ministry. I could call him anytime to serve, if he could be there he would. His love for His God and his heart for service to his Savior was always evident. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Karen and Brian Morgan
