Obituary of Norma Viola Hampsey

Norma Viola Hampsey (nee Harvie), 81 of Aylesford, passed away November 2, 2018 in Middleton. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ina Harvie.

Norma was a wonderful mother to her four children and a special grandma to her grandchildren who she loved dearly. She enjoyed and excelled in a number of sports including Softball, Golf, and also represented Nova Scotia many times in Provincial 5 Pin Bowling competitions. It was also rumoured that she could play a mean game of Auction 45 at times.

Surviving family members include husband John; son Steven; daughters Lisa and Marla; Norma was blessed with four grandchildren Kyle and Megan Hampsey; Brittney and Courtney Ward; she is also survived by sisters Priscilla Walsh; Faye Beazley; brothers Clyde Harvie and Jim Harvie.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son Kevin; brothers Carl Harvie, Michael Harvie, Robie Harvie; granddaughter Ashley Hampsey.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
