Obituary of Joseph Thomas "Anthony" Walsh

Joseph Thomas "Anthony" Walsh, 79 of New Minas, NS  passed away on September 11, 2018.  Born in Montreal, Quebec in 1939, Anthony was the son of the late Joseph and May (O’Connell) Walsh.

A loving father, grandfather and friend, Anthony will be missed by those who knew him.  He was an active member of St. Joseph`s Roman Catholic Church in Kentville, NS. His church and church family were central in his life.

He is survived by his sons Michael Walsh of Percé, QC; Daniel (Alice) Walsh of Montreal, QC; his daughter Catherine (Paul) Walker of Greater Lakeburn, NB; two grandsons Alexander and Benjamin Walker.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary-Jane and daughter Theresa.

Anthony`s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all who visited him in the hospital and at the New Vision`s Seniors Home.  Your kindness towards our dad was very much noted and appreciated.

A visitation will take place on Sunday September 16, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday September 17, 2018 at 9:30 am in the St. Joseph`s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the St. Joseph`s Roman Catholic Church in his memory.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, B4P 1E5 (902-542-4656).
