Obituary of Jessie Marie Grant

GRANT (MacLeod), Jessie Marie - 84, North Sydney, passed away suddenly at her home Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Born on Cottage Road, Sydney, she was a daughter of Alex and Annie (MacVicar) MacLeod. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Grant (North Sydney); infant son, Bruce. She is survived by her sister, June Townsend, Kingston, Ont.; children, Craig (Mary), Sackville; Tom (Judy), Windsor; Shauna (Kevin), Mount Uniacke; grandchildren, Mark, Jennifer, Sean, Heather and Kristen; also many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of St. Matthew's-Wesley United Church and of the Northside General Hospital. She remained active in the North Sydney Seniors Club and enjoyed playing cards and darts. Jessie was a dear friend to many and she will be missed. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in St. Matthew's-Wesley United Church, North Sydney, on Saturday, October 15, at 4 p.m. Private interment Sunday in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, Sydney. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. Family flowers only please.
